The St. Louis Metropolitan Fire Marshals Association presented it’s first annual Bill Fox Award to Creve Coeur Fire Marshal Art Oestereich at the MFMA Meeting at the Sprinkler Fitter’s Union Local 268 Training Center on December 9, 2015.  The Bill Fox Award is presented to an individual who exemplifies the dedication and efforts to further Fire Prevention and Life Safety.  Fire Chief Bill Fox died suddenly on May 30, 2015.  He was  in the fire service for over 40 years and was Fire Chief of the Shrewsbury Fire Department for 26 years.  Chief Fox was always involved in Fire Service training and eager to help out with providing a location to hold the training.  He was always an advocate of fire prevention and fire DSC_0095sprinklers.  Fire Marshal Oestereich  was chosen as the first recipient of this award for his years of dedication to Fire Prevention, Life Safety and Code Enforcement.
