Student Housing Sprinkler Save at SIUE

A fire sprinkler save at an off-site student housing at SIUE occurred on September 5, 2017. The Enclave apartment building in Edwardsville, Illinois was sprinklered with a 13R System by Boyer Fire Protection several years ago and they provide the system maintenance.

13D Training by NFPA

Chad Duffy with NFPA came into town to teach a 3-hour 13D Class at Sprinkler Fitters Union Local 268 on Wednesday evening. The July 19 class was for Fire Officials, Contractors and Sprinkler Fitters. Approximately 60 people were on hand for Chad's presentation.

Fire Marshals Association of Missouri Annual Conference

The annual conference for the Fire Marshals Association of Missouri was held at Tan-Tar-A Resort at the Lake of the Ozarks July 10 - 12, 2017. Shane Ray hosts Side-By-Side Burn at Potter

Shane Ray, President of the National Fire Sprinkler Association, was in St. Louis on May 23, 2017 for the Common Voices meeting. While he was here, he had the Fire Team USA bring in their burn trailer for a Side-By-Side Burn Demonstration. Robertson Fire Protection District was on hand to put out the unsprinklered fire.

2017 MABOI Golf Outing

Two Classes Taught at 268

2016 Metro Fire Marshals Meeting

The Metropolitan Fire Marshals Association held their monthly meeting at the Sprinkler Fitters Union Local 268 training Center in St. Louis December 14, 2016.  During the meeting elections were held for officers of the association.  Roger Herin was re-elected as President.  John LaVenture was re-elected as Vice-President, Marc Ulses was re-elected as Treasurer and Denis [...]

St. Louis Fire Sprinkler Alliance Receives Award

The St. Louis Fire Sprinkler Alliance received the Presidents Award from the Jefferson County Fire Marshals Association at their December 8, 2016 Meeting.  Association President, Jeff DeLapp presented the award to John LaVenture at the meeting and thanked the Fire Sprinkler Alliance for all their work in providing training for their organization.
