13D Training by NFPA

Chad Duffy with NFPA came into town to teach a 3-hour 13D Class at Sprinkler Fitters Union Local 268 on Wednesday evening. The July 19 class was for Fire Officials, Contractors and Sprinkler Fitters. Approximately 60 people were on hand for Chad's presentation.

Shane Ray hosts Side-By-Side Burn at Potter

Shane Ray, President of the National Fire Sprinkler Association, was in St. Louis on May 23, 2017 for the Common Voices meeting. While he was here, he had the Fire Team USA bring in their burn trailer for a Side-By-Side Burn Demonstration. Robertson Fire Protection District was on hand to put out the unsprinklered fire.

Two Classes Taught at 268

St. Louis Area Sprinkler Contractors held 1st Chapter Meeting

NFSA Area Interest Meeting Held in St. Louis

Shane Ray, President of NFSA, was in town Tuesday August 23, 2016 for a meeting with St. Louis area sprinkler contractors.  Missouri's new NFSA State Coordinator, Randy Cole, called the meeting to get the contractors and suppliers together to discuss forming a local NFSA Chapter.  The chapter would include contractors, suppliers & manufacturers and AHJ's. Large Crowd at Metro Fire Marshals Training

117 people attended the NFSA Coordinating NFPA 25 & 72 Seminar hosted by the Metropolitan Fire Marshals Association April 29, 2016 at Sprinkler Fitters Union Local 268 Training Center.   Jason Webb and Art Black presented the class which was funded by a grant from the State of Missouri.  Vendor sponsors also helped support the class.

60 civilian fire fatalities last week

The Civilian Fire Fatality Notification for U.S. Fire Administration reported 60 civilian fire fatalities for the week of Feb. 23 - Mar. 1, 2014.  60 fatalities were reported by the news media last week.
