2016 Metro Fire Marshals Meeting

St. Louis Fire Sprinkler Alliance Receives Award

The St. Louis Fire Sprinkler Alliance received the Presidents Award from the Jefferson County Fire Marshals Association at their December 8, 2016 Meeting.  Association President, Jeff DeLapp presented the award to John LaVenture at the meeting and thanked the Fire Sprinkler Alliance for all their work in providing training for their organization.

Antonia Fire Protection District 2016 Annual Open House

The Antonia Fire Protection District held their annual Open House October 8, 2016 at Station #2 at 6633 Moss Hollow Road. Activities included Antonia's Safe House, an Auto Extrication Demonstration, and informational booths including the St. Louis Fire Sprinkler Alliance booth. 

Boles Fire Protection District Safety Day

The Boles Fire Protection District held their annual Safety Day at Station 3 on Highway M in Villa Ridge, Mo. Second Annual Home Fire Sprinkler Summit Held in Springfield, MO

The Second Annual Home Fire Sprinkler Summit was held March 23, 2016 at the Springfield, MO Police & Fire Training Center. Springfield Fire Chief David Hall and Missouri Fire Sprinkler Coalition Chairman, Cape Girardeau Fire Chief, Rick Ennis welcomed the crowd of 70 people to the Summit. Large Crowd at Metro Fire Marshals Training

117 people attended the NFSA Coordinating NFPA 25 & 72 Seminar hosted by the Metropolitan Fire Marshals Association April 29, 2016 at Sprinkler Fitters Union Local 268 Training Center.   Jason Webb and Art Black presented the class which was funded by a grant from the State of Missouri.  Vendor sponsors also helped support the class.

Fire Sprinkler Save in St. Louis Apartment Building

St. Louis Firefighters responded for an apartment fire on March 30, 2016.  Arriving firefighters found a fire in a second floor apartment which had been extinguished by the automatic sprinkler system.  The occupants had been burning candles on the bed in the master bedroom.

Memorial Dedicated to Fire Chief Bill Fox

An antique Hose Wagon that was refurbished by members of the Shrewsbury Fire Department  was dedicated Sunday December 13, 2015.  Acting Fire Chief Ken Buss dedicated the memorial to the late Chief Fox and described the efforts to make this memorial possible.  Mayor Felicity Buckley thanked all those involved in the project and welcomed everyone [...]
